I recently went online to check out several golf courses in the Dubuque area that I haven’t played. While I have visited The Meadows Golf Course before, I’ve never played it and decided to set a tee time for an upcoming visit there.
Turns out, the GM and Golf Pro at the Meadows is Jeremy Hawkins. He is also my former assistant volleyball coach in college. We haven’t talked in more than 10 years, so it was great catching up with him. A great coach and a great guy!
I also took the opportunity to ask him whether he would be interested in donating a few rounds of golf for the AIB Eagles Classic for Scholarships, a golf event that raises scholarship money for AIB students. He did not hesitate – and donated four rounds of golf. Thanks Jeremy!
