Gearing Up For Service!

This time of year is very busy for the Service Learning Center! We are gearing up for two of our largest events of the year; AIB's campus wide service day and the Job and Volunteer Fair. With busyness comes excitement. So much to plan, so much to look forward to!

This year's campus wide service day is set for the afternoon of Monday, September 21st. To kick things off on Monday morning, Mr. Steve Farber, a recognized author dedicated to the cultivation and development of extreme leaders in the business world, will be presenting on leadership and service.

In the afternoon, hundreds of students, faculty, and staff will venture out to complete service projects. There will be a BBQ on campus upon participants returning from their service projects. I find this year's theme very fitting, "Eagles in Action!" Here we come!

The second event is the annual Job and Volunteer Fair, a collaboration between AIB's Career Services and Service Learning. Here, students, alum, and community members can find part-time positions, paid internships, and service learning opportunities. This is also a wonderful chance for organizations to recruit professional and educated students.

Yes our office and the College are very excited about these upcoming events, although I would like to emphasize that events such as these would not be passable without the ongoing support that you provide.

Thank you for being an ongoing service advocate. We look forward to working with you this Fall!
